Kindred’s latest collaboration gives members a rare chance to stay in the cult designer’s Stockholm home

Kindred, the members-only home swapping network, announced today the successful completion of its Series A funding round at $15 million. This round was led by New Enterprise Associates, with participation from existing investors Andreessen Horowitz, Caffeinated Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Outset Capital, and welcomed several new individual investors such as Evan Moore (former Khosla investor), and Dylan Field (Figma CEO).

Kindred Powered by Ocado Group announced it will bring to market INDUCT, an AI-powered robotic system designed to automate the small parcel induction process. The INDUCT workcell will help parcel, post, and e-commerce fulfillment companies alleviate capacity shortages and increase efficiency – a critical need for e-commerce supply chains at this pivotal time. Kindred and Hy-Tek Integrated Systems will partner to integrate Kindred’s SORT robotic systems with Hy-Tek’s material handling solutions to automate retail and e-commerce order fulfillment operations fully. The partnership will expand Hy-Tek’s apparel customers’ distribution center and warehouse automation capabilities, accelerating polybag pick and place processes to meet increasing consumer demand.
