Global Frontier Advisors Debuts with Elite Leadership Team to Navigate and Accelerate Investment in Geopolitical Hotspots

A dynamic new force in global frontier markets officially launches today with the debut of Global Frontier Advisors L.P. (GFA), a U.S.-based strategic advisory firm focused on helping corporations, governments, and investors operate with confidence in geopolitically complex frontier and emerging markets. With increasing global volatility and heightened focus on critical resources, artificial intelligence, and national security, GFA enters the arena to bridge opportunity and execution in the world’s most strategically significant regions.

Global Frontier Advisors was formed by a leadership team that includes decorated military generals, senior diplomats, and seasoned international business leaders. Collectively, they offer decades of experience navigating risk, building alliances, and securing investments in high-stakes environments. Founding Managing Partners include Lieutenant General Michael Groen (USMC, Ret.), former Director of the Department of Defense’s Joint Artificial Intelligence Center, Senior leader at the NSA, and Senior advisor to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs; Ambassador James “Jimmy” Story (Ret.), former U.S. Ambassador to Venezuela and Charge d’Affaires to Angola and Sao Tome and Principe with deep experience across Latin America and Africa. Lieutenant General David Bellon (USMC, Ret.), a strategic operator with over 35 years in the Marine Corps and deep Congressional and field-level insight across the Middle East and Latin America. General Bellon ran the Marine Forces South and Reserves before his retirement; and Mr. David Kol, a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with over 20 years of frontier market leadership across Africa and emerging markets globally.

“Our firm was created to meet the moment,” said Lt. Gen. David Bellon. “Clients today are not just seeking advice; they need partners who can operate in real time, build trust across borders, and navigate political, financial, and logistical complexity. That’s what GFA was built to do.” Ambassador Story added, “We have operated at the highest levels of diplomacy and national security, and we know how to move capital and strategy in tandem. Our ability to align investors, governments, and communities is what sets GFA apart.”

GFA offers comprehensive, hands-on services tailored to clients entering or operating in sensitive frontier markets. This includes market entry strategy, regulatory and licensing navigation, government and stakeholder engagement, ESG implementation, political and security risk mitigation, and capital markets advisory. Whether advising a tech firm on AI deployment in the Middle East, helping a mining company secure critical mineral assets in West Africa, or facilitating strategic infrastructure partnerships in Latin America, GFA delivers results where others hesitate.

“We don’t just point the way forward, we execute,” said Mike Groen. “From risk assessments to public policy strategy, from local partnerships to operational risk, our team is embedded with clients to help them succeed where the stakes are highest. We’re not afraid of complex environments, we’re built for them.” David Kol, Partner in GFA and CEO of Zodiac Gold Inc. (TSX.V: ZAU) further offered, “We have a proven track record of accomplishment in some of the toughest environments. We know how to find high returns for clients while reducing risk. We don’t say that we can do it; we’ve done it.”

Global Frontier Advisors is currently engaging with corporate and institutional clients involved in energy transition, AI and defense technologies, solar, infrastructure, carbon, and critical minerals. For more information or to discuss strategic mandates, visit www.globalfrontieradvisors.com
